A novel track-mounted mobile crane is being offered by 6196 Penny Hydraulics that features a Hinowa chassis. The versatile TP2000/FV1200 Minicrane is designed to lift 1.2tonne loads in applications where conventional vehicle-mounted cranes cannot operate. Jointly developed by the two companies, the TP2000/FV1200 can be used in rough terrain and features the Hinowa TP2000 tracked chassis and the Penny Hydraulics FV1200 fully hydraulic crane. The Hinowa TP2000 is a compact tracked chassis while the Penny Hydraulics FV1200 is a fully hydraulic crane with a lifting capacity of 1.2tonnes at 1.5m, 450kg with 3.5m of boom extension and 250kg 4.3m extension. The operator stands on a platform at the rear of the unit and crane movements including slew, boom raise and boom extension are powered hydraulically, while the machine can move over the ground while carrying a load.
Robust and rugged, the machine features a retractable crane that folds down to the king post when not in use for safety, protection from damage and ease of transport. The new machine measures 1.925m long and 2.1m high in the stowed position and weighs 1.125tonnes, allowing it to be carried on a towed trailer. The new unit shares features with the existing smaller HS400/V12 Minicrane introduced by Hinowa and Penny Hydraulics earlier this year. The HS400/V12 is a compact track mounted battery powered mobile crane able to carry loads up to 630kg.
