The Ukrainian Government is planning a major programme of road repairs. The work is needed after a lack of maintenance has seen the country’s network decline, with even key highway routes suffer from potholes and pooor surface quality.
To tackle the issue the country’s state-run highways agency, Ukravtodor, has announced its programme of works, which will see 6,800km of routes benefiting from essential maintenance during 2021. This will be a significant increase in road repairs and improvements carried out during 2020, during which time 4,000km of routes will have benefited.
