A key toll road link in the Philippines is benefiting from repairs and maintenance works. The busy NLEX-SCTEX tolled route in the Philippines has had repairs and improvement works worth US$131.7 million carried out over the last seven years.
The route is managed by NLEX, which has prioritised the improvements in a bid to ensure that the toll road is in maintained properly. NLEX has established an annual maintenance programme for the route. Pothole repairs, crack sealing and resurfacing works have all been carried out. New road markings have been applied where required also.
The North Luzon Expressway is a key route for the Philippines, connecting Metro Manila to the Central Luzon region. The tolled road was constructed originally in the 1960s and measures 102km in length. The project is one of several underway in the Philippines at present.
