Peru is planning a series of road improvement works. This programme of road repairs is intended to help boost the country’s economy in the wake of the pandemic.
In all US$1.17 billion worth of road improvements will be carried out under the plan. The aim is to boost employment.
Maintenance works will be carried out on national roads as well as local roads under the plan. Contracts will be awarded in August 2020.
In all, 1,150 separate works are being planned in seven regions, Apurimac, Cajamarca, Cusco, Junin, Lima, Puno and San Martin, across the country.
