Edeleanu said he saw opportunities for the Hydradig in the UK market.
JCB said the Hydradig - which goes into production this month - is a completely new tool-carrying solution, which is set to radically change the way in which modern construction projects are undertaken, particularly in congested urban environments and on busy road networks. The machine has exceptional visibility, stability, mobility, manoeuvrability and serviceability, according to JCB.
Founded in 1972, H.E. Services is based in Strood, England, and runs a fleet of more than 3,500 items of plant which are offered for hire nationwide form 12 depots. The company’s fleet includes excavators from 1.5-45 tonnes, telehandlers, dumpers and rollers.
Meanwhile, Haydock-based Plant Hire UK has placed an order for almost 400 new machines in a deal worth almost €21 million. The bulk of the order is for 300 Loadall telescopic handlers manufactured at JCB’s world headquarters in Rocester, Staffordshire, England. The deal also includes a huge fleet of site dumpers, according to JCB.
The massive investment comes as the company marks two major milestones: 10 years’ successful trading and the purchase of its 2,000th JCB machine. The latest additions to the fleet will be delivered throughout 2016.
The deal for the JCB Loadalls includes the 4m 520-40 model through to the 20m lift height 540-200 model. Site dumpers range from the 1tonne 1THT through to the 9tonne 9TFT model.
The Loadalls are powered by JCB’s Tier 4 Final/Stage IV Ecomax diesel engine, which meets the latest emissions standards without the requirement for a costly diesel particulate filter (DPF), Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) or Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) or commonly known as AdBlue.
The new JCB Loadalls also come with immobilisers and JCB LiveLink fitted as standard, the advanced telematics system which provides customers with essential fleet management data. The fleet management tool can improve machine utilisation, cut running costs, increase productivity and manage servicing.
Through integration with the immobiliser, machine tracking, geo-fencing and curfew options, JCB LiveLink also provides an extremely powerful deterrent to thieves - making machines harder to steal and simpler to recover if they are stolen.
