A programme of road works will improve transport links for Côte d'Ivoire. The plans have been set out by the country’s government. This will be the country’s sixth programme of road maintenance works and will run from 2023-2025. A budget of US$663.6 million has been set for the work.
Some 17,390km of existing dirt roads will be reprofiled using graders to remove corrugations. The country has a road network of 82,000km of which dirt roads account for the majority, some 74,500km.
