An important tender is underway for Italy’s fifth and last tender for the Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) programme. The tender process is being handled by Italy's road and motorway concessionaire, ANAS.
The technology will utilise sensors and be used to monitor the condition of bridges and viaducts. This contract has a value of €45 million, however ANAS is investing a total of €275 million for the entire SHM programme, which is being financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).
