Doosan’s new mini excavator aimed at rental

Maintenance /

695 Doosan’s new DX17Z mini excavator is aimed at the rental market and suits duties in urban construction sites. High mobility and powerful performance are claimed, as well as good stability. The 1.75tonne DX17Z is a short tailswing mini excavator said to offer more functionality than a comparable Zero Tail Swing (ZTS) machine. The design fully protects the front upper structure corners within the swing circle, allowing 320° of free rotation while working close to walls or highway barriers.

The machine is said to have the best stability in its class and features an undercarriage that can be attracted to pass through doorways or other narrow gaps and then widened for stable operation. An option is a long dozer blade that further improves front stability. The machine is said to offer powerful digging forces and lifting capacities for this class, which are helped by its stability and optional long dozer blade. Meanwhile the DX17Z is also offered with a wide range of attachments.

The machine features the architecture of a 2tonne class hydraulic system, with variable piston pumps and a gear pump. Fast cycle times and smooth operation are also claimed, as well as high operator comfort.
