The Moscow Construction Department has announced that the country’s financial issues will not halt current construction projects in the capital. Some US$1.23 billion will be spent on the development of roads in Moscow during 2015. The funds will be spent on building 83km of roads, 23 engineering structures, and 20 cross walks.
Meanwhile, the Russian Finance Ministry's committee on inter-budget matters has given its approval for plans on how funds received from fuel excise tax payments will be distributed between regions. Among the Volga Federal District's regions, the highest amount of funds for repair and maintenance of public roads will be given to Bashkortostan ($24.5 million), or 2.9% of all collected fuel excise taxes).
