Road construction and maintenance works will be carried out in South Africa’s Eastern Cape. A budget of nearly US$80 million has been set for the work in Matatiele by the South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL).
The aim is to improve transport in the area in a bid to help boost economic development. The works will also improve transport safety.
SANRAL has also set out plans for work in the Sundays River Local Municipality in the Eastern Cape. A budget of $119.5 million has been set for the work, which will see improvements carried out to a main road in the area.
