A loan facility worth US$175 million will help pay for upgrade works to 350 bridges in India’s Madhya Pradesh State. The loan is being provided by the China-based New Development Bank (NDB) of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) countries. A further $350 million loan is being provided by the NDB for works to upgrade 2,000km of roads in Madhya Pradesh State. This latter project forms part of the state’s Major District Roads Project II.
