An improved budget for road spending in the Dominican Republic will help boost the country’s road network. A general budget of US1.1 billion has been set for 2021 for improvements across the country. Road upgrades are amongst the works being prioritised.
Some $299.3 million will be used to improve transport infrastructure across the country. Amongst the projects to be carried out are works to the Bani ring road, the Duarte Corridor and the Nagua-Puerto Plata road.
