Sacyr Concesiones has secured financing required for highway projects in Chile. The firm has been awarded the contract for the 132km Route 78 highway linking capital Santiago with the port of San Antonio. Sacyr has also secured the financing for the Route 66 Camino de La Fruta P3 route.
The funding package for Route 66 is for the construction, expansion and improvement works of the highway, which will be managed by Sociedad Concesionaria Ruta de la Fruta for a term of 45 years. The operation was led and structured by Banco del Estado de Chile and Banco de Crédito e Inversiones. The funds will be used for construction and improvement works to the current road.
Meanwhile, the firm will also carry out upgrade work to Route 78 that will improve traffic flow for residents in the area and also for trucks travelling to and from the Port of San Antonio.
