The cost of repairing roads, highways and bridges damaged by the recent
flooding in Queensland is expected to cost around US$2.47 billion (A$2.5
billion). The state government of Queensland has published a report
estimating that repairing the damage caused by the floods will require
some $4.94 billion of spending in total between 2010 and 2013.
