A fleet of wheeled loaders is playing an important role at a site producing concrete in China. Located at Lintong in Shaanxi Province, in China, the site is producing concrete using gravel from river plains. Lintong lies 35km to the east of Xi’An in western China, the site of the famous Terracotta Army. This new army of SDLG wheeled loaders meanwhile is being used to load gravel from the nearby river plains for Jinsheng Concrete, which sits on the 800km Wei River.

Because the terrain is muddy, this provides a tough working environment and with winter temperatures dropping to -10°C while remaining extremely dry, the conditions can be difficult for some machinery. The firm’s fleet includes an SDLG LG953A1 wheeled loader, an LG953 that the company has owned for two years and the newer LG953N, as well as an older version of this model. For Jinsheng Concrete to meet increasing customer demand, machine uptime and reliability are hugely important to keep the job site running.
The LG953 wheeled loader has a range of features that help with operations, including good visibility from the cab, a rear-view camera and an improved bucket design for longer uptime. Jinsheng Concrete was founded just three years ago, but its annual turnover is already in excess of US$33 million (RMB200 million). While there are reports of a slowdown in China, for Jinsheng Concrete the opposite is true.
With pre-orders of more than 400,000m3 of concrete already on its books for 2014, the company will be looking to its SDLG machines to continue their workload, handling as much as 2,000m3 of gravel and sand during every 10-hour day.
The on-call service is provided by Shaanxi Fulin Construction Machinery, SDLG’s local dealer, which has five locations across north and south-west China, and is headquartered in Xi’an. One pioneering programme developed by the SDLG dealer is substituting old machines for new models to save customers money on their operating costs.
