A new body within CECE has been established for hydraulic attachments such as demolition tools
The European Construction Equipment Committee, 3399 CECE, has broadened its portfolio with the formation of a new body. It has recently established a new product group for hydraulic attachment tools. The body serves as a communication and information platform for companies operating in this business segment, including companies such as Arden Equipment, 161 Atlas Copco, 178 Caterpillar, FRD, 237 Indeco, 2396 Montabert, NPK, Okada, 325 Sandvik, 1141 SIMEX, Socomec, Soosan, 3092 TABE, Toku and VTN.
The product group is chaired by Torsten Ahr, vice president Marketing at Atlas Copco Construction Tools. Ahr said, “Especially the sub-segment of what we refer to as silent demolition tools will see a steady upturn over the next years as the industry turns towards more efficient solutions in demolition and recycling."
The product group will discuss EU-legislation matters relevant to the section such as the outdoor noise directive and to share information about market developments. Statistics on hydraulic breakers and demolition tools are another core service. CECE is the only supplier of worldwide data of this kind.
