Tailgating drivers, lane changes and overtaking vehicles can all be fully enforced.
Together with partner company SG Biro, VITRONIC is continuing its expansion into the Eastern European market.
The Slovenian Institute of Metrology approved the laser-based speed enforcement system PoliScanspeed, and with the stationary and mobile versions, VITRONIC says it has a suitable solution for every surveillance scenario: the stationary version of PoliScanspeed is installed in a vandal-proof aluminium housing, and each independent segment can be aligned to monitor traffic in any direction.
The mobile version can be mounted on a tripod or installed in a police vehicle.
At the core of both systems is laser technology, allowing multiple vehicles to be tracked and captured over multiple lanes.
If a driver is caught speeding a digital photograph of the vehicle is stored along with additional case data, and the file is digitally signed to prevent data manipulation: encryption allows secure transfer to the back office for further processing.
PoliScanspeed has already been given approval in Lithuania, Romania, Estonia and Hungary.
