A new bypass project worth an estimated US$1.4 billion is planned for Nizhny Novgorod in Russia. The project is being planned by the Ministry of Town Planning Activities of the Nizhny Novgorod Region (Volga).
The first stage will be for the construction of the eastern bypass of Nizhny Novgorod. The second stage will be for the construction of a new bridge spanning the Volga River. The third stage will see the construction of the north-eastern bypass around Bor, which lies to the north of the Volga River.
The timeline for the project has yet to be announced.
