Nearly 450km of new roads will be added to the Polish road network during 2018. Of these close to 410km will be of dual carriageways. According to the Polish roads authority GDDKiA, the figure of 450km will beat the record 350km of roads constructed in 2018. This will also beat the earlier record of 330km of dual carriageways, which was set in 2012. Some of the road completions involve long stretches such as the entirety of the Dual carriageways that will be completed include the S8 between Warsaw and Bialystok. They also include stretches of the S3 in Silesia, between Zielona Gora and Bolkowo as well as Szczecin and Bolkowo. A number of stretches of the S7 are expected to open to traffic in 2018 also including the section running between Elblag and Gdansk.
