Work on a major new road project in Peru is being planned. The project for the Anillo Vial Periferico is being prioritised. The new road section is expected to cost US$2.4 billion and will improve transport in capital Lima. The work will be handled under the PPP model. Construction of the road link will cut congestion and journey times for drivers. Tendering for the project is expected to commence in 2024.
