A new highway in India’s Telangana State will help boost the economy of the area, reducing journey times for transport and trade. The project to build a 32km stretch of NH-365A between Kodad and Khammam was awarded to Adani Road Transport, itself a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises.
The work involves improving widening and upgrading the stretch to two lanes in either direction. The package of works is worth US$143 million. The work will be handled as a hybrid annuity model (HAM) project. The client for the work is the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
