Construction work is continuing for Malaysia’s important Pan Borneo Highway (LPB) project. Further stages for the highway have now been approved by the Malaysian Government.
Work is being carried out on the first phase of the Sabah section of the LPB project at present, with around 52% of the stretch, which is being built in 15 separate packages, having been completed. The phase one stretch of the Sabah section is due for completion in the third quarter of 2024.
A further 19 packages will be carried out for this stretch and should take five years to complete.
Meanwhile, around 78% of the 786km Sarawak LPB section has been carried out so far.
