Work will commence in due course on a 75.6km stretch of highway in Bulgaria. The route links Ruse and Veliko Tarnovo and contracts for the works have been awarded by the Bulgarian Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA). The package of works on the highway stretch is worth €502.45 million.
The highway will be part of the Transport Connectivity 2021-2027 Operational Programme developed by the EU. Work on the route will be carried out by the Hemus-16,320 consortium. This is comprised of Avtomagistrali-Tcherno More, Patinzheneringstroy-T and Transconsult-22.
