The Deal provides TPS with a new technology centre in Helsinki, where the team has already worked closely alongside its new parent for four years. The Deal will see the Dynaroad software combined with Topcon’s Sitelink3D ENTERPRISE to provide a real-time task management tool. O’Connor said that this move delivers, “…an integrated machine control solution for all phases of earthworks projects, from pre-planning to construction.”
For customers, the acquisition will provide better integration of machine control and planning software. This will give clients a better understanding of site status and more time to spend on optimising production according to the firm. TPS said that the Dynaroad software and services focus on improving construction economics and that joined with the Topcon machine automation and real-time communication tools, will deliver higher productivity to customers. Following the acquisition, the Dynaroad products will be available through Topcon dealers worldwide. With the new Helsinki Technology Centre, Topcon now has seven technology centres around the globe, including in Japan, Australia, Italy and Russia, as well as two in the US in Ohio and California.
