World premiere at bauma for 718 Liebherr’s upgraded mid-range front loader series, the L526, 538 and 546.
The loaders remain with the tried and trusted hydrostatic driveline but have upgraded axles. This improvement, along with a toughened chassis makes them especially suitable to the recycling sector, explained Martin Koller, a spokesman for Liebherr’s loader range.
When fitted with foam or solid rubber tyres, as is often the case in recycling yards to guard against punctures, the machines are exceptionally robust for that environment, he said.
These “all-rounders” can easily handle continuous shift operations, as seen so often in recycling yards.
The standard lift configuration is a set bar linkage for lighter work. But a parallel linkage is available as an option.
Deliveries will begin during the second half of this year.
