Bridgestone drives forward tyre design

Bridgestone has launched three additional tyre lines, each with a specific duty cycle in mind. The DFAS range is initially available in a 17.5R25 size and is intended as an all-weather tyre for graders. The tyre has pyramid-shaped tread blocks with two lateral grooves to rapidly clear snow. As the tyre wears the blocks in effect get wider, providing continued grip in all conditions.

The VSDR is Bridgestone’s latest wheeled loader tyre, in many cases providing a replacement for the popular VSDL range. The tyre features increased cut protection with open lug angles for improved rock protection in quarry use. Lastly, Bridgestone is entering the asphalt paver market, with the introduction of the DuraForce DFAP. Initially available in an 18.00R25 E7 size, the DFAP is a high floatation tyre to allow the paver to drive smoothly across freshly laid materials.
