A budget of US$304 million will be used for road maintenance and repairs in Puerto Rico during 2011. The Department of Transportation and Public Works in Puerto Rico (DTOP) said that the sum will be equally distributed between 33 municipalities throughout the island. In all, the DTOP has a recommended budget of $96.7 billion for the 2011-2012 fiscal year, which represents an increase of $3.69 billion over the previous year's budget.
