China’s Sichuan Province plans to spend US$29.4 billion on road and water transport infrastructure during 2023. A total of 39 expressway projects will be carried out with a total length of 3,953km. Work will commence on eight expressway projects, which will total 600km.
Meanwhile, the city of Cangzhou in Hebei Province will spend $1.87 billion improving road infrastructure during 2023. The highway network will be extended by 174km, while there will be improvements to 532km of rural roads in the area surrounding the city. Road maintenance works will be carried out to existing road links as part of the programme, which has been planned by the Cangzhou Department of Transportation.
