Construction work is on track for Malaysia’s important Lingkaran Tengah Utama (LTU) Expressway project. The road should be ready for drivers in 2026, reducing journey times between capital Kuala Lumpur and Kelantan.
The route is also known as the Central Spine Road (CSR). Work on the 300km project is costing US$2.36 billion and has been split into six separate sections. The Section 3J stretch poses particular challenges as it includes building five new bridges as well as a 7km route road connecting Kampung Seberang Jelai and Kampung Relong.
