The DX180LC-3 is the first of 695 Doosan’s mid-range stage IIIB compliant excavators.
Powered by a Doosan DL06 common rail six-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, this 18tonne excavator uses a combination of EGR and DPF to meet emissions legislation.
As a result, the new engine offers more power and torque than the stage IIIA DX180LC, and the potential to save 5-10% fuel consumption.
A new cab offers greater room for the operator, while more glass helps visibility. Joysticks now feature new proportional thumb wheels and integrated buttons to provide precise, proportional control of attachments.
An electrically driven cooling fan is thermostatically controlled, to keep the engine and hydraulic systems at a precisely optimized working temperature. This improves cooling efficiency and reduces fuel consumption, said Doosan.
Options now include a floating boom system for improved levelling and finishing work.
